Picture perfect right? Me and the fabulous hostess Kelly Lee of KellyGoLightly.com
Ever wander into a party and are whisked away into another land? Well meet Kelly Lee! She has this knack for style, events and vintage soirees that is like non-other! Creating not just a theme, but a mood, a vision and everything in between. So join me as we adventure into a Slim Aarons style BBQ! We sipped on bourbon drinks, we ate fried chicken and waffles, we fanned our warm faces, and even had some serious party crashers. *aka* the Trash Crashers!
Here we go!

How amazing is Kristen’s outfit? I’m a sucker for a print mix. Check our her blog! StyleWaxPoetic
Drink time!
Bulleit is my favorite!
A party is truly all in the details.
Oh hey me! Here are the deets on my look: Dress by Milly. Last seen here, Shoes by ShoeDazzle. Last seen here and Earrings by H&M. Scarf turban self made with an old scarf adorned with my grandmothers pin.
Also an amazing triumphant side note: As of 4 months ago, this dress didn’t fit. I couldn’t even zip it up and let me tell you that is THE WORST feeling of all time. So when I put this dress on, thinking … “well laurie, it’s okay don’t be disappointed…” it actually fit! Take that holiday pounds!
A better look at my Celtic cuff from the flea market. Such a great find.
The girls! Right to left. Cheryl, Kelly, Sydne and Devon
Let the Trash Crashing begin! We were all surprised when a full cheer squad literally crashed our party!
Crashing the Trashcrashers Suzy, Annette, Kelly, Kristen and Rachel!
Annette of A Vintage Splendor and her hubby Alan. Check out those shoes!
Portrait time! Our dresses were such a punch combo together, you’d never know it was January.
Kelly and Jenny. A another bold print mixing duo.
This is my favorite shot in the whole bunch! We look like the epitome of Slim Aarons photography! Speaking of photography… meet Gray Malin the need to know photographer in town. His work is inspiring and awe inducing and well I will just let it speak for itself. Click here for tasty eye treats!
