LAFW Spring 2011: Simply Stylist. The event.

62050934lauriebstyle1025201064828pmFor a second season in a row, the Simply Stylist event put on by Caro Marketing was the highlight of my LAFW adventures.  I think I may have won the award that day for longest appointment ever.  I’m pretty sure I was there for 4 hours. But how could I not be, when there is Barefoot wines at arms reach and my favorite friends from The Contact List by my side!

If you recall last season… (Click here) you’d remember this was a very memorable event for me as, it was my very first Wire Image photo posted and first set of blunt bangs since I was 8 years old…  This season, there was no chop up but instead a hip braid and asymmetrical curls which then prompted the hair do that Irene from Hairron Salon did for my FGILA Red Carpet appearance… but that look is for another day, another video & another blog post…

Back to Simply Stylist.  All the brands were delicious, smart and so useful for my future endeavors with clients, (and even my style show that’s in the works!)  Starting with Camille K, Alisa Michelle, Lodis and Lena Erziak accessories to absolutely swoon over.  Then beautiful dresses from Johnny Bechard and Dina Bar-El, who is also launching a cocktail dress line…which needless to say is stunning.  Then to hip menswear and accessories from Cyrcle, Robert Graham, PS Kaufman and New Era. Followed by Grammy Label’s amazing festival wear, and of course the amazing brands from Caro Marketing including Tulola, Hobo, Plastic Island and my personal favorite McGinn. But lastly and definitely not the least, Paul and Joe, debuting pieces from a new resurrected collaboration with Pierre Cardin.  Bringing pieces from the past and making them modern again.  A true testament to how timeless style can live on forever and ever.

This was one fabulous and fun,  fashion playground for me to film in.
