It’s pretty incredible how the internet can make one person feel like she is being pulled in twenty directions. You can’t just find me on my website. You can find me on my blog, my personal Facebook page, my Facebook fan page, and also: LinkedIn, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, Pinterest, Stylepage, Polyvore, Pose and I’m pretty sure I started a Posterous page, too. Incredible right?
Well, having that many web feeds to maintain makes my head want to explode, because each of them has a different purpose. So, in light of that, I figured why not break down the internet madness – because maybe you just want fashion and style tips. Or maybe you want to see a glimpse into my wild (or not so wild…) life? Either way, there is something for everyone out there looking to be inspired.
Laurie Brucker Facebook Page: For friends and frienemies only. (HA!) Actually this is my personal page and sometimes I rant, sometimes I repost, sometimes I’m completely silent. It’s a crap shoot into the mind of Laurie on any given day. If I don’t actually know you, I will not accept a friend request. But if we’ve met once, or through a friend that usually passes the bar.
LaurieBstyle Fan Page: For the fashion challenged, style seekers and the inspirationally deprived. Posting and reposting fashion stories, bits of style inspiration, my blog stories, and even my favorite: The style question of the week. For both boys and girls there is something for everyone here. And why I love this over twitter? Is that you get to see photos with the post. (I’ve got to draw you in with pretty pictures, don’t I?)
Laurie Brucker LinkedIn: This page is for my business and helping promote the professional side of my life. Yes, I am a professional, I have a strong running business, I am an entrepreneur, business owner and a passionate personal stylist for the real men and women out there looking for a change in their lives… I have clients that I consult and, mostly, that is something I do privately, as I like to keep the business… classy.
LaurieBstyle Twitter: An aggregate of everything. But who has time to spend all day on there to catch it all? Why not just go to the source? Facebook fan page, Youtube, or Pose. Besides I’m COMPLETELY bored with Twitter at this point – too much information, too quickly. I personally use it to research topics, people and ideas I want to read more about.
LaurieBstyle YouTube: It’s all my videos in one spot, old and new. Every Tuesday tip, every fashion series and even some dabbling of red carpet interviewing. In looking back, I want to laugh at myself for the videos I made in the past, but 2012 videos are going to be more awesome than ever. Promise. Swear. I’m getting an assistant, so I’ll finally have an extra pair of hands to video the fun and silly stuff that goes on in the life of Laurie B.
“Laurie on the Fly” Tumblr: Want to know more about the small things that make me happy in my life? Tumblr is the pictorial look into my life. All the silly things I see, inspirational photos, and surprisingly, or unsurprisingly photos of my adorable super fat cat, Molly. The coffees, the whiskeys, the friends and the fashion inspiration. Tumblr will have what you are looking for. Get to know the real Laurie here. Not the fashion Laurie, not the stylist Laurie, but the wildly creative and utterly silly Laurie. It’s on Tumblr.
LaurieBstyle Pose: This is where you can have an inside look into the clothes I wear every day and the style that I create in my world. My style is a mix of high low, vintage and new. It’s what I believe is true, real, creative and unique style. It’s all Laurie and it’s what I teach to clients and what I plan to give to the world. So take a look into my fashion mind’s eye. Pose will have that style inspiration for you.
Pinterest, Stylepage, Polyvore: These are my inspiration boards, all different styles and photos for men and women that tickle my fashion fancy. If you read my inspiration board post from this past Wednesday, you’ll know that I’d rather collage for real as opposed to doing it online – because let’s face it, I could spend all day looking for collaging inspiration on the internet and if that was the case, I’d never get any work done for my clients… So, I get to these from time to time but none of them are overly developed.
