Laurie is officially an expert in the “science of dress” and named “LA’s go to stylist” by the Los Angeles Times Readers Choice Awards 2012. Having graduated from Indiana University in 2002 and then working as a fashion designer in New York City for 7 years, Laurie’s strong desire to help people started taking its fashion form. Before settling in Los Angeles, she went back to school and received a degree in Image Consulting from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. To her, it’s more than just style and fashion. It’s about what works for the individual and his or her lifestyle needs and Laurie is fluent in this rare language. Laurie has developed a truly unique approach to interpreting style. It is a strategic process she’s created that takes a deeper look at her subjects. It is all about understanding the core of our individualism and bringing that to life via wardrobe, style and image branding. As an expert in the science as well as the perception of dress, Laurie knows how to translate your life, your loves and your body to wearable and confident style. She uses this technique across the board from private styling closets to personal shopping, to photo shoots and corporate advising. And she recently has been Certified by Stacy London from TLC’s What not to Wear, and has officially joined Stacy’s styling forces of Style for Hire.
Aside from working with her private clients, Laurie has a love for sharing her style expertise with the masses.
